of Castle And the exhibition “Rural Culture”.
In these rooms can be observed also information boards concerning “Rural Culture”, that explain and analyse the economic and social situation of our little towns. On these boards it is possible to observe several photographs about alimentation, agriculture , livestock and the structure of the houses of Irpini farmers. Each photograph presents a detailed description of the subjects. The main purpose of the presence of these panels is to explain and analyze the economic and social situation of our territory and to realize a real identikit of the starting places, cities that are characterized by a strong agricultural and craftsmanship.
-From the 4th December until the month of June, in the rooms of the Castle will be the opportunity to see the exhibition of B.Amore , an Italian-American artist. The works of the artist are the result of the ensemble and the assembly of every-day objects, objects found in the streets of Naples, Lapio and Montefalcione. They are humble materials, fixed with resin.
The first room
The first room is dedicated to the “Rotary Club Hirpinia Goleto” that has supported the purchase of a part of the material belonging to the exhibition “Partono i bastimenti”. In this room there is the tale of Italian emigration throughout an itinerary of photographs, images, paintings, original passports, navigation tickets, letters, puzzles and intelligence tests of Ellis Islands.
The second room
LThe second room is dedicated to Pia and Mario Fischetti , citizens of Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi emigrated to the USA, who have supported the purchase of a part of the material. In this room there are interesting objects: tango score, posters of the navigation companies, original scores of Neapolitan songs, musical instruments, pamphlets of rules for emigrants, passenger lists, etc.
The third room
The third room is focused on “Irpina” emigration to America and Europe. The research of the material and the realisation of the information boards are the result of the work of the LABe team, composed by four young Irpini who had studied the emigration phenomenon.
